Helping Fund Research into Childhood Related Genetic Diseases In cooperation with Sick Kids Foundation

Welcome to the Fund

This Tribute Fund at Sick Kids Foundation is set up in the name of Maximilian Cachia. Max has Roifman Syndrome, diagnosed in early childhood. Max is treated monthly at Sick Kids with blood transfusions for the illness and is currently dealing with Retinal Dystrophy. Retinal Dystrophy is a degenerative disease of the light sensitive layer of the eye that transmits vision to the brain. Despite all the illness puts him through, he is a great young man, with a wonderful witty
sense of humor.

You can read more about the fund and what the research is trying to achieve on this web site, as well as ways to donate to genetic research in the name of Maximilian Cachia.
